Save the Dates: The Biennial Conference Planning Committee is delighted to announce that the 16th Biennial Conference will take place in person at the High Country Conference Center, September 12-15, 2022. At least that is the plan at this moment in time, and we hope to see all of you there. Please save the dates! (Should COVID make another appearance, then the conference would be hosted virtually.)
Theme: “Creating Hope through Action: Advancing Solutions to Rapid Environmental Change.” The conference planning committee selected this theme because for there to be a chance at a better future, one with healthy communities and functioning natural systems, we all have to take action and use our creativity to develop meaningful solutions to climate change and other challenges facing the Colorado Plateau and beyond.
Call for Proposals: Proposals for symposia, workshops, short courses, and field trips for this year’s conference will be accepted until April 11, 2022. Decisions will be announced no later than April 15, 2022. Proposal submission guidelines can be found here.
Call for Abstracts: Abstracts for both oral and poster presentations for this year’s conference will be accepted until May 1, 2022. Decisions will be announced no later than June 15, 2022. Abstract submission guidelines and other information, can be found here.
Clients' Day: Clients' Day has long been a part of the Biennial Conference tradition because it creates an opportunity for organizational meetings, information sharing, and learning. Participating groups are invited to meet, host workshops and short courses, or participate in field trips on Monday, September 12, 2022. Meeting rooms at the High Country Conference Center have been reserved for use by conference participants for side meetings. If you will be attending the conference and would like to schedule a meeting room at no charge, please contact Lara.Schmit@nau.edu.
