In celebration of the permanent protection of the Borderlands Wildlife Preserve (BWP), join us at the Casa Blanca AZT Trailhead at the BWP for brief remarks from Borderlands Restoration Network, Wildlife Corridors, and the Forest Legacy Program.
Enjoy complimentary coffee and snacks including pastries from event sponsor, Butter My Biscuit, while you check out booths from BRN, The Nature Conservancy, Arizona Game & Fish, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, and Friends of Sonoita Creek.
Following remarks, join retired biology teacher, birder, and longtime BRN volunteer, John Hughes, for a 1-mile, easy-to-moderate guided nature hike with a special emphasis on birds of the area along the AZ Trail located in the BWP.
Or, feel free to blaze your own trail on any of the BWP trails. (Please follow usage guidelines for each of the trails, particularly regarding dogs.)

The Casa Blanca Canyon AZT Trailhead parking lot is located on the west side of highway 82 off of Casa Blanca Canyon Road, 4.5 miles north of the Town of Patagonia. Follow 82 to Casa Blanca Road and the parking lot is on the left-hand side. Signs will be posted to guide you.
