Riparian Repairs: The Empire Strikes Back

When

8 a.m., March 20, 2021

Join WMG's Restoration Director, Trevor Hare, at Las Cienegas National Conservation Area for the second of two volunteer workshops that build on the Technical Training held at Empire Gulch in February. Our goal is to finish our work treating an important drainage at Empire Gulch to encourage infiltration and native plant growth, slow erosion, protect endangered species, and preserve the connection between the channel and its floodplain. During this workshop, you will continue to get background knowledge of how to identify and address issues in our watershed and get hands-on experience working with natural systems to support erosion control and stream restoration practices. This will be a physically distanced, mask-on event. This event is limited to 10 people.

Please note that you're registering for the second of two related volunteer workshops, happening on Saturday, March 20th from 8a.m. to 1p.m. If you want to register for the first volunteer workshop, please register here.
