Arizona Fire Adapted Communities

When

1:30 p.m., May 5, 2021

We invite you to register for Arizona Fire Adapted Communities (azfac.org) upcoming webinar on Wed., May 5th 1:00 – 2:30. The registration link can be found at the bottom of this listing.

This webinar is designed for those who are working on fire resiliency and adaptation issues and practices across the state of Arizona. We are pleased to announce Catrina Jenkins, Navajo County Emergency Manager, as the keynote speaker. As a member of AZFAC, you will meet others who are doing the same work, form relationships, and motivate and support each other’s efforts. We encourage you to join AZFAC as a member here.

During the webinar, we will also discuss the initiation of a new AZFAC “Podio” online communication platform for its members. After the webinar, and once you have joined as an AZFAC member, we will send you an invitation to join AZFAC’s Podio space. This shared communication platform will augment interactions with others who are working on solutions to the challenges of mitigating severe wildfire effects to Arizona’s communities.

During a smaller group discussion at the webinar, we will ask participants to share a fire resilience/adaptation issue, ask for peer-assistance and advice, or showcase a successful project in your community.

If you cannot make the webinar:

  • we will send the recording to all who registered
  • apply to be a member here (it will only take 5-10 minutes), and then you will receive an invitation to join the Podio online communication platform

Please feel free to share this e-mail with others who are working to increase their community’s fire adaptation efforts. All are welcome!
