Register now for the third field visit in the this Grassland Resilience Workshop Series in the Altar Valley. This free workshop series will bring together land managers, ranchers, and researchers to learn about the standard management practices in three adjacent watersheds to improve soil health and manage mesquite encroachment. Sessions include a kick-off virtual webinar on Tuesday, October 10th (watch it here), and three in-person field visits and workshops (the Santa Rita Experimental Range, the Altar Valley, and the Las Cienegas). Workshops will feature local experts on the ecological features of the landscape, treatment planning and implementation, and effects of management on soil health, vegetation, and habitat quality.

Lunch will be provided. Please be sure to bring water, a sun hat, sunscreen, and anything else you need for a day outdoors.

Meet at 9am on Friday, January 19th, 2024 at the Las Cienegas National Conservation Area. More specifics to follow. Click here for more information about visiting LCNCA.
