Meeting theme: Bridging the Gap: Connecting Native Plant Materials Development with Successful Habitat Restoration
Ecological degradation, including pollinator and wildlife habitat loss, can be ameliorated by intensive restoration. One major challenge of restoration is availability of native plant materials including seeds and starts. This conference will bring together native plant producers, restoration ecologists, biologists and scientists and policy professionals to discuss current knowledge and challenges. Seed partnerships and collaboratives are innovative and key groups that engage multiple perspectives and facilitate better native plant availability.
IAE is hosting a Virtual Native Plant Materials Conference on January 12-13, 2022, in partnership with the Willamette Valley Native Plant Partnership, the Southwest Seed Partnership. Supporting agencies include Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, and the Bureau of Land Management. Author Doug Tallamy’s plenary presentation will be The Nature of Oaks, with panels of growers and experts from the Pacific Northwest and desert Southwest on a virtual platform. We hope you’ll join us!
Plenary Presentation: Thursday, January 13:
